The projectThe objective of this collective project is to bring out the hidden photographic heritage, dispersed in collections and family archives throughout the geography of Aragon. The perishable nature of these historical photographic materials is one of the reasons that has driven this action, with a certain urgency, aimed at the broad territory of the Aragon community. Our family photographic collections constitute an important legacy of our collective memory, whose conservation we must guarantee. How does it workThis APP that we have designed is the tool that will facilitate the first contact and exchange of information between the owners of legacies or historical photographic collections and the team of project researchers. If you are interested in collaborating, you just have to fill in the form with your contact details and briefly describe your photographic collection by completing the questionnaire provided. Our researchers will contact you to agree on the date to move to your home, where they will carry out the digitalization of your photographic funds. The digitized funds, collected throughout the Aragonese territory, can be consulted by all citizens not only through the official website of the project, but also through the repositories of the Aragón Cultural Heritage Information System ( SIPCA): http://ww.sipca.es/dara/archivos/archivos.jspIn addition, you will receive a free copy of your digitized photographic archives and, in addition, an official document that accredits and acknowledges your altruistic collaboration with this project of priority interest to our Community. All digitized files will always remain identified as part of your family collection, if it is your desire, through the name and surname (or pseudonym) that you provide us for that purpose. On the contrary, if you wish to preserve your privacy and do not want your family data to be associated with your digital files, this project will also guarantee the anonymity of its owner and its origin.Government of Aragon and University of Zaragoza, guarantors of the projectThe present project, with ref. LMP37_18, entitled «To the rescue of the hidden photographic heritage of Aragon», has been one of the projects approved within the Call for grants for the development of R + D + I projects in priority lines of the RIS3 Aragón and of excellence of character multidisciplinary for the 2018-2020 period, co-financed with the FEDER Aragón 2014-2020 operational program. The design and execution of the project depends directly on the University of Zaragoza, through a multidisciplinary team composed of art historians and researchers from Reference Research Groups: the Aragonese Observatory of Art in the Public Sphere (OAAEP) and the group of Supercomputing and Physics of Complex and Biological Systems (COMPHYS). This multidisciplinary team has, in turn, the means and personnel of the Ibercivis Foundation and its Citizen Science program.
